Victorian Department of Sustainability & Environment www.dse.vic.gov.au. They have a great community engagement section on their website. You need to type community engagement into the search box on their homepage. It has a huge array of resources.

Active Democracy & Community Engagement www.activedemocracy.net. Prof Lyn Carson's web site provides a great array of resources on community engagement and democracy.

IAP2 in Australia www.iap2.org.au. IAP2 is continuing to build its website with resources for the community engagement sector.

America Speaks http://www.americaspeaks.org. AmericaSpeaks is a non-profit organisation that engages citizens in the public decisions that impact their lives. It was founded in 1995 by Dr. Carolyn Lukensmeyer to give citizens an authentic voice in local, regional and national decision-making on the public issues of the day. They are very well known for their 21st Century Town Meeting® tool in which large scale meetings can be convened using computer technology. They recently held such a meeting for the City of Port Phillip in Melbourne at which over 700 residents came together to discuss the future of their local area.
