IAP2
Events are held about every two months in Melbourne. See the IAP2 website for more information and to register for events. An annual conference is held every year with the 2009 Conference being in Perth in October. The International IAP2 Conference is being held in San Diego in September, 2008.
IAP2 Core Values - Members of IAP2 agree to seven core values, starting with "The public should have a say in decisions about actions that affect their lives" and "Public Participation includes the promise that the public's contribution will influence the decision."
IAP2 Resources - As well as listing the core values, there are many resources on the IAP2 website for community engagement practitioners. One of the most useful tools is the public participation spectrum.
