Professional Associations - AFN & VFN
Australian Facilitators Network (AFN). AFN operates an online discussion forum through a list server moderated by Bob Dick and a web site. It also holds an annual conference that arises from faciliators in a location offering to host and organise a conference. There is no formal organisation or membership structure.
As part of the AFN community, the Victorian Facilitators Network (VFN) meets monthly in Melbourne. It meets on a variety of dates at the Gestalt building at 333 Heidelberg Rd, Northcote. In addition Ed McKinley, Martin Butcher and I organise the full day Facilitation One Day Wonder, that is being held again in 2009 on September 10 at the Abbotsford Convent. The 2009 AFN conference in being held in Nelson, New Zealand in November 2009.
AFN operates a fabulous email discussion service. Instructions for joining the email list are contained on the home page of the AFN website - see below.
