Establishing new organisations

LeadWest

During 2007 and on behalf of the five local councils of Melbourne's West, THORNE Partners managed the establishment of a new regional leadership organisation for Melbourne’s West. LeadWest is to be the leading voice of the west. THORNE Partners managed the processes for the appointment of the Chairman, the Board of Directors and the CEO. They also provided secretarial support to the Board. Kimbra White provided advisory services to the Board and Bev Butler, working in association with THORNE Partners, provided HR support, in particular managing the appointment of the CEO.

Yarra Ranges Regional Marketing

Kimbra White assisted Yarra Ranges Shire Council in the establishment of a new regional marketing organisation for the Yarra Valley. Known as Yarra Ranges Regional Marketing, it was created to be the single regional marketing organisation for the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges; and to market the region’s tourism, agribusiness, food and wine products to domestic and international markets. Kimbra managed the process for appointing the directors to the company and undertook a range of corporate planning, governance and stakeholder management tasks.
